ONLINE WILL APPLICATION FORM

Your name
Name of second applicant
Required for joint, mirror wills only

Funeral Wishes

The majority of people wish to have their body either buried or cremated. You can express your wishes here, including the scattering or burial of your ashes, or any other special wishes.
You can also donate your body to medical science.

Executors

With the majority of younger couples, it makes sense to name each other as Executor (the person who has the responsibility to deal with the financial aspects of the Estate), but also name alternatives just in case your partner is unable or unwilling to act at the appropriate time.

Older people might wish to consider younger relatives such as their children or grandchildren, or a professional organisation as appropriate.

Alternative Executors should be considered here just in case your original choice(s) should predecease you, or be unwilling or unable to act.

Legacy & Gifts

Gifts of individual property or sums of money will be distributed before the rest of your Estate (the Residue). This might be items of jewellery, personal possessions, etc, gifts to Charities, or sums of money to be given to individuals.

Residue

"The Residue" of your Estate is everything comprised within your Estate that you have not gifted earlier in your Will. This would normally be your house, and your money and investments and so on.

Alternative Beneficiary & Longstop Beneficiary

If your previously nominated beneficiary(s) cannot inherit (because they have already passed away) please specify here who you would wish to benefit from your Estate instead. This might be your children, grandchildren, siblings, or charities for example.

In the "worst case" scenario, if everyone named previously as beneficiaries have already passed away, please also indicate here who you would wish to be your "long stop beneficiary."

Guardians & Alternative Guardians

You should appoint Guardian(s) if you have children under the age of 18 years, who are considered to be infant children in law. If you chose the same people as your executors, it would be advisable to also have an independent executor who is not acting as a guardian.
