I provide three core services: Will Writing, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Probate Support, and I will be happy to visit you in the comfort of your own home to discuss all of these with friendly, approachable advice and a professional service at less than half the typical fees charged by high street solicitors and banks.
Will Writing
Asset Guardian are considered experts in our field and, since the company started in 2016 we have written valid Wills for in excess of 10,000 people in England and Wales.
I now offer our Will Writing services via an Online Application Form, as well as face-to-face in your place of work or home for clients who want or need a much more personal and tailored level of service.
My fees are very competitive too!
I can do single wills from just £89, and a "standard" uncomplicated pair of 'Mirror Wills' for a couple only costs £149 (if written via our online service), or £250 if written face-to-face within a 30-mile radius of our offices in Swindon, Wiltshire.
Please note that Asset Guardian Wills is regulated by the Society of Will Writers and is subject to their compliance regime, so you'll have complete peace of mind that your Will is being prepared by a Regulated Professional.
Powers of Attorney
In the event that you or your partner end up incapacitated and unable to communicate – possibly due to being in a coma or suffering from dementia – a Lasting Power of Attorney will ensure your wishes can be carried out on your behalf.
Property & Financial Affairs
This type of LPA allows your attorney(s) to deal with banks, utility companies, financial institutions and government departments on your behalf, and enables your financial affairs to be dealt with swiftly and efficiently at the appropriate time.
Health & Welfare
This type of LPA gives your attorney(s) the ability to make decisions on your behalf regarding your health and wellbeing if and when you are unable to do so yourself. Your Attorney(s) are required by law to act solely in your best interests at all times.
I offer expert advice as to which version of Power of Attorney would be the most suitable for your needs, and we handle all of the paperwork, as well as carrying-out the required checks to protect your interests from fraudulent acts or coercion by others.
I will also ensure (as far as is reasonably possible) that you (the “donor”) have sufficient mental capacity to put a Lasting Power of Attorney into effect.
As with Wills, I can visit you in your place of work or in the comfort of your own home at a very reasonable cost.
The whole process usually takes 8 to 10 weeks from start to finish, and I will carefully guide you through this process on a step-by-step basis.
Help With Wills & Legal Services
Dealing with the administration of an Estate (Probate) can be a daunting task for those with no experience.
I am an expert in dealing with Estates and Inheritance Tax matters, and I charge less than half the typical fees charged by high street solicitors and banks – as well as being much friendlier!
I offer a range of bespoke legal services to assist you in obtaining a “Grant of Representation” from your local Probate office.
These services range from straightforward advice and assistance with the completion of the Probate and Tax forms (e.g.- Inheritance Tax Return), to a full Executor service where we undertake all aspects of Probate on your behalf.
As previously mentioned, I am able to visit you at your place of work or in your home to discuss Probate and how my services might be of help to you.
